travel should feel like a Lazy Sunday

unhurried. restorative.

Comfortable enough to take a deep breath and simply be.

it all started with a simple belief:

HERE'S THE LAZY SUNDAY STORY ~

HERE'S THE LAZY SUNDAY STORY ~

Long before there were businesses, inspections, and turnovers, there were Sundays. The kind where the coffee stayed warm, the to-do list disappeared, and time slowed down. Those moments of rest reminded us that some of life's greatest joys aren't found in doing more—they're found in creating space to reconnect with the people and places that matter most.

That feeling became the foundation of Lazy Sunday Rentals.

We believe travel should offer that same sense of ease. A place where guests immediately exhale, settle in, and think, "Ahhh... this is nice." Every home we create and every experience we design is guided by that simple philosophy: travel should feel like a pause.

But before we were hospitality partners, we were vacation rental owners ourselves.

Like many of our clients, we entered the short-term rental industry with the goal of building long-term wealth through real estate while creating memorable experiences for our guests. We built, designed, furnished, and operated our own portfolio, learning firsthand that exceptional vacation rentals aren't created by chance—they're built through thoughtful design, proactive care, intentional operations, and an unwavering commitment to hospitality.

Over time, we discovered something even more rewarding than owning vacation rentals: helping others build exceptional hospitality businesses.

That perspective shaped every decision we made. We treated every guest stay as an opportunity to strengthen our reputation. Every maintenance issue as a chance to protect our investment. Every design decision as an investment in both the guest experience and the long-term value of the property.

Eventually, we successfully sold two fully operational vacation rental businesses—not just furnished homes. The buyers stepped into professionally designed, revenue-generating hospitality businesses that were ready to welcome guests from day one. Seeing those businesses continue to thrive reinforced what we had believed from the beginning: exceptional hospitality creates exceptional investments.

As demand for our expertise grew, we faced an important decision.

Continue expanding our own portfolio, or dedicate ourselves entirely to helping other owners build theirs.

We chose our clients.

Today, we intentionally focus all of our time, energy, and expertise on helping owners create remarkable guest experiences while protecting one of their largest investments. By stepping away from ownership ourselves, we eliminated competing priorities and committed fully to becoming the partner we once wished we had—a team that treats every home with the same care, intentionality, and long-term perspective as if it were our own.

Hello!

Carly Traub is the co-founder and CEO of Lazy Sunday Rentals. With a background in sales, business development, and relationship management, she leads the vision of the company, cultivating trusted owner partnerships, creating systems that elevate the guest experience, and building a business rooted in integrity, hospitality, and joy.

Rather than chasing rapid growth, Carly has intentionally built a boutique company centered around aligned partnerships. She believes the best businesses are built with people who genuinely enjoy working together, communicate openly, and share a commitment to excellence.

She is passionate about proving that it's possible to build a successful business without sacrificing the life you're working so hard to create.

Stronger Together

Lazy Sunday Rentals works hand-in-hand with Turnaround Repairs, owned and operated by Carly's husband, Matt.

While the two businesses remain separate, they share a common philosophy: take exceptional care of people and do every job with excellence.

Carly leads hospitality, owner relationships, operations, and guest experience. Matt brings decades of expertise in construction, renovations, maintenance, and quality control.

Together, they offer owners something that's increasingly rare: a hospitality partner that understands not only how to market and manage a vacation rental, but how to protect, improve, and preserve the home itself.

Built for the Future

Everything we build is guided by the life we want to create—not just for ourselves, but for our two boys, who are growing up watching us choose purpose over pressure and relationships over transactions.

We want them to see that success isn't measured only by growth or income. It's measured by integrity, meaningful work, and the positive impact you have on the people around you.

Those same values shape every partnership we build.

Because at Lazy Sunday, we believe exceptional hospitality starts with exceptional people.

And when you combine thoughtful design, proactive care, genuine hospitality, and relationships built on trust, you create more than a successful vacation rental.

You create a place where guests love to stay, owners love to invest, and everyone feels a little more like it's Sunday.
